Kenneth Joseph Grothoff, a cherished figure and devoted family man, was born on June 18, 1947, and departed this world on February 3, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy marked by his dedication to both his career and his family.

Kenneth enjoyed a long career in manufacturing. After retiring from manufacturing, he embraced a new chapter in his life as a professor, teaching at Lindenwood University. His passion for imparting knowledge and guiding the next generation was evident to all those who had the privilege of learning from him.

Beyond his professional achievements, Kenneth was an avid stamp collector, a hobby that brought him joy and satisfaction. He also found solace in woodworking, where he created beautiful pieces that reflected his craftsmanship. Over the years, he assisted in countless pinewood derby cars, fostering creativity and fun among youth and their families. His time at Cedarhurst provided him with care and comfort, for which he was profoundly thankful.

Kenneth is survived by his two sons, Martin J. (Kimberly) Grothoff and Scott (Amy) Grothoff; his daughter, Laura (Matthew) Strickland; as well as seven cherished grandchildren, Caleb (Allison) Grothoff, Ethan Grothoff, Isabelle Grothoff, Cole Grothoff, Cedric Strickland, Henry Strickland, and Clara Grothoff. He is also survived by his great-grandchild, Olive Grothoff; three brothers, Robert (Maureen) Grothoff, Vernon (Joyce) Grothoff, and Donald (Gina) Grothoff; his sister, Ann (Art) James. He was a loving brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Grothoff (nee Dodt); his father, Harold Grothoff; his mother, Regina Grothoff; and his sister, Linda Grothoff.

A visitation for Kenneth will take place on February 20, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dardenne Prairie, MO. Following the visitation, a Mass will be held at the same location from 10:30 AM.  Kenneth's life will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew him and loved him.
