Patricia Lou (Shilling) Lushbaugh, 74, Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Saturday, January 10, 2026, with her family by her side.
Born Monday, May 7, 1951, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Howard R. Shilling and Evelyn M. (Heckman) Shilling.
She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELCA) where she served as a council member and on various committees. She also was a member of the First Hagerstown Hose Co. and served as Asst. Secretary. She was well known for her steamers that were sold during the Mummers parade.
She was employed as a store manager and Asst. Supervisor for High's Dairy Stores and retired from Byers Stop 'N' Go.
Patty leaves behind her loving husband of over 57 years, Ray, whom she married on June 25, 1968 by the late Rev. Ronald McClung, her daughter, Kimberly Cave (Max), her son, Ray Jr. (Shay); sisters, Meta Ann Swope, Susan Doub and Sandy Babineau, brothers, Michael and Stanley Shilling; grandchildren, Brandon, Emilie, Sophie, Mollie and Makiah; and great grandchildren, Parker, Zaileigh, Ariella and Oliver.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Linger and great granddaughter, Luna Graff.
Patty had a strong faith in God and truly believed he was her strength along with her family, during her eight years of battle with her illness.
Services will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, at 1:00 pm, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with the Vicar Rich Kittle officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, January 15, 2026, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
The family would like others to come in casual attire.
Interment will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD.
