Patricia M. Altomonte - October 27, 1930 to September 14, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Altomonte, who passed away on Sunday, 9/14/25. Patricia was the beacon of love and strength, and her presence touched many lives. We will mourn her loss, but find solace in knowing that she is at peace. Patricia was born October 27, 1930 in Haverstraw, NY and lived in the North Rockland community all her life. Patricia graduated from Haverstraw High School in 1948 as Vice President of her class. She was a member of the National Honor Society, the Secretary of the Drama Club and a member of the Girls Athletic Club, where she won an award from the Honorary Rotary Club for Proficiency in Athletics. She lived a life dedicated to her faith and family. She spent her entire life devoted to caring for her family, whether it was caring for her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren. She was very active in St. Mary's Church, Haverstraw, NY and with the Haverstraw Seniors. She loved to travel and spend summer vacations in Oregon with her West Coast family. Patricia enjoyed an active and full life. Patricia will be remembered by all as a very kind and loving person, who was always willing to help others.

Patricia is survived by her sons, Stephen (Roxanne) and Paul (Kathleen), her 4 grandchildren: Lonnie (William) June, Jennifer Prisco, Paul (Lauren) Altomonte and Erika (Joshua) Presler, 7 great-grandchildren Wyatt and Delaney June; Collin and Tyler Prisco; Lilliana Presler; Jaxon and Brody Altomonte. In addition to many nieces and nephews, who were all very dear to her heart. She was predeceased by John Altomonte; brothers George, Thomas and James Malone, and sisters Anne Davidson and Ellen Boyan.

I once heard someone state, "Caregiving is not about what you do, but about who you are and the love you bring to others".

To our friends at Pine Valley Nursing Home: Lenore, Nicole, Barbara, Elsie, Stacy, Maria, Jennifer, McClaren (Tops) and those that I may have missed, we are so thankful for the many relationships we developed and all your support and kindness.

We can't thank you enough for the love and attention you showed our mother, Patricia Altomonte. Your warm smiles and friendly chats brightened her days. Thank you for especially making her final days so comfortable and dignified.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 4:00-8:00pm at the George M. Holt Funeral Home, 50 New Main Street, Haverstraw, NY 10927. Followed by graveside services at Mount Repose Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 9:30 am.
