Patricia Auch

Patricia "Pat" Auch, 77, of Wishek, ND, died October 17, 2025. In honor of Pat's wishes her body was donated to science. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, October 24, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Wishek.

Pat was born March 25, 1948, in Bismarck to LeRoy "Pat" and Clara (Lubbers) Burnstad. She was raised on a farm east of Burnstad, ND and attended country school in the area. She finished her schooling at Wishek High School, graduating in 1965. Following high school Pat continued her education at Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing where she received her nursing degree. She went on to work as a nurse at Bismarck Hospital. Pat married Ruben Auch on July 19, 1968, in Bismarck. Together they settled on her family's farm east of Burnstad where they raised their family, farmed and ranched. She also continued working as a full-time nurse for 52 years at the Wishek Living Center.

Pat enjoyed baking, reading and most of all spending time with her family.

Pat is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ruben Auch, Wishek; children, Lori (Bob) Dirk, Mandan, Lee Auch, Bismarck and Lisa (Brian) Dreiske, Keldron, SD; grandchildren, Morgan Dirk, Blade Auch, Rayne (Luke) Smith, and Logan, Alex, Samantha and Natalie Dreiske; great grandchild, Kinlee Smith; and brother-in-law, Hilluard Kemmet; brothers-in-law and sisters–in-law, Garrie (Karen) Auch, Dennis (Noot) Auch, David Auch, Betty (Fred) Ermey and Gene (Tracy) Auch; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Clara Burnstad; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bennie and Anna Auch; and her sister, Norma Kemmet.
