Patricia Bailey Obituary

Patricia Bailey decided to use her one-way ticket to Heaven on November 30, 2025, and finally reunited with her late husband, Art Bailey. She passed away peacefully in her sleep which coincides with her late husband's birthday.

She was born to John and Agnes Bach in Elyria, Ohio (OH). In 1964, she graduated from Elyria District Catholic High School in OH. After graduating from high school, Patricia wanted to devote her life to the church. She wanted to join the sisters of Notre Dame. However, the Mother Superior felt that God had a bigger calling for her.

In April of 1965, she joined the Air Force. While being stationed at Hickam AFB in Hawaii, she met her future husband, Art Bailey. They were married May 13,1967 and soon thereafter moved to McChord AFB, in Washington State. They had two sons, Jeff (1968) and Jason (1970). When Jeff was 21 months old and Jason two weeks old, the family moved to Tyndall Air Force Base, in Florida. After four years the family was off to Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany, where their daughter, Jennifer (1974), was born.

The family moved to Duluth Air Force Base, Minnesota, after Art's parents became ill, and eventually passed. The family eventually moved back to McChord Air Force Base in 1980. Art retired from the Air Force in 1982.

After many years of taking care of the kids, Patricia decided to find employment with the state of Washington. She worked for several departments and made more life-long friends. She spent the next 10+ years loving and caring for her husband who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Art was ultimately put in a memory care facility during COVID and passed on October 10, 2023.

Patricia had many hobbies but none more than her faith and passion for the church. She spent over 45 years at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lacey, Washington (WA).

Patricia is survived by three children, Jeff (CO), Jason (Stephanie) (UT), and Jennifer (Kelly) (WA), and six grandchildren, Kileia (Zach), Joshua, Brendan, Taylor, Madison (Rae), and Mackenzie. Patricia was very excited to meet her first great grandchild, Isla, which she was able to do on a recent trip to Florida. Patricia was also able to visit with other friends and relatives, some that she had not seen in over 30 years.

Services will be on January 5, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lacey, WA. A reception will immediately follow mass in Hallen Hall.

Her friendship, kindness, love, and faith will be missed.
