Mrs. Patricia Lee Bates

Patricia Lee (Maclure) Bates, age 76, passed away Friday, Feb 28, 2025. Patricia was born in San Fransico, CA on October 25, 1948, to David P. Maclure Jr. and Floramay "Babs" (Byers) Edwards. Patricia and her husband, James, were the owners of the Chopping Block from 1970-2000 when they passed the family business to their daughter Sherri and son-in-law William Rainey. Patricia was a long-time member of the Trinty Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by both her parents; her husband, James Lee Bates; and son, Richard Lee Bates. She is survived by her daughter Sherri Rainey and son-in-law William of Mena; daughter Lisa Bates and daughter-in-law Geri Ayers of Las Cruces, NM; sister Megan Maclure of California, and half-sister Nina Byers of Indiana; stepbrother Michael Hunter and wife Bonnie of Missouri along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Timothy Henning officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The pallbearers will be Jerimiah Osborn, Michael Hunter, Ian Hunter, Marcus Jones, Brad Fountain, and Wes Lyles. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Mena, Ar.
