Patricia L. Blachowski

Patricia (Pat) L, Blachowski, aged 80, passed away peacefully on November 13th, 2025 after her battle with colon cancer. She was surrounded by her husband and three children at the time of her passing in Phoenix, AZ.
Pat was born on June 13th, 1945 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Jean Spix. She grew up with her older sister Barb and younger brother Joe. Pat attended Visitation High School near her home on South Keeley St. After high school she attended nursing school to do what she did best her whole life, help others before herself.
During high school Pat met the soon to be love of her life, Robert (Bob) Blachowski whom she later married in 1966. Together they raised four children into adulthood, Robert Jr. (deceased 2014), Thomas (Tom), Timothy (Tim), and Tricia. Pat had 10 grandchildren with one from Tom (Adalynn - 10), six from Tim (Claire - 28, Kevin - 25, Nolan - 23, Kate - 20, Logan - 18, and Mary - 12) and three from Trica (Megan - 23, Aimee - 20, and Lily -19).
Pat adored her children and especially her grandchildren whom she showered with unconditional love and the overwhelming amount of presents on Christmas, which was her favorite Holiday. She was always willing to drop everything to help out family or friends in need, a trait that drew her to nursing school earlier in life. She was the glue that kept the family together, always empathetic and always listening before commenting or offering invaluable advice from her lifetime of experience. Pat's home was always open as well as her heart. She was a kind soul who welcomed all and made everyone from her children's friends, coaches, teachers, and acquaintances feel at home (especially when an impromptu poker game would materialize late at night). Anyone who met Pat instantly knew what a great soul of a person she was. She will be missed.
Services for Pat will be held at 5pm on December 6th at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 E Bell Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85254 with a reception immediately following at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
