For numerous years, Pat served as a teacher’s aide at the Corpus Christi Independent School District (CCISD), where her dedication to education and the well-being of children was evident. Beyond her tenure at the school district, she contributed her skills and compassion at various establishments, including the Housing Authority, Memory Gardens Funeral Home, Memorial Funeral Home-Holly, Angelus Funeral Home, and Treviño Funeral Home. These roles allowed her to touch lives in countless ways, and her kindness left a lasting impact on those she encountered.
Pat found joy in many hobbies, particularly in arts and crafts, where her creativity flourished. She also cherished her time spent watching game shows and was an avid fan of Hallmark movies. Each of these interests reflected her warm-hearted nature and her appreciation for both creativity and storytelling.
Preceding her in death were her former husband, David Campos, Sr.; her son, Daniel Campos; her parents, Ildifonso and Gonzala Rodriguez; her brothers, Ildifonso Rodriguez, Jr. and Jose Rodriguez; and her sisters, Christina Trejo and Refugia (Cookie) Rodriguez. Patricia's journey was undoubtedly intertwined with the lives of those she loved, and their absence is felt deeply.
She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Debra Velasquez (Carlos); sons, Donovan Campos and David Campos Jr.; and her cherished sisters, Susie Rodriguez, Mary Ellen Haynie, and Ida Hernandez (Lupe). Additionally, Pat is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom she loved unconditionally and who will carry her memory forward.
Pat’s compassion for others was a defining characteristic of her life. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, making a significant difference for many in their time of need. Her beautiful smile and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Patricia Ann “Pat” Campos will be dearly missed, but her enduring legacy of love and kindness will forever resonate in the lives she touched.
