Trevino Funeral Home - Corpus ChristiMario Ramos, born on September 18, 1963, left this world on November 23, 2025. A dedicated husband, father, and friend, Mario is remembered for his vibrant spirit, relentless hustle, and enduring love for his family.
For 36 wonderful years, Mario was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Irene C. Ramos. Together, they built a life filled with shared dreams, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. As a father, Mario took great pride in his son, Mario (Felicia) Ramos, Jr., instilling in him the values of hard work and dedication that he embodied throughout his life.
Mario's career was diverse and rich, showcasing his talents and passions. He served as a cook and head manager at McDonald's and also managed Little Caesars, where his leadership skills shone brightly. Beyond the fast-food industry, Mario was known as the best DJ in town, captivating audiences with his music and charisma. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to become a great flea market seller, and he passionately embraced the buying and selling of sports cards running his card shop "OTW / The Sports Box" with enthusiasm.
A proud graduate of Roy Miller High School, class of 1982, Mario cherished his time as a Buc, often reflecting on his high school years with fondness. He was a keen sports fan, eagerly traveling to sports card shows and celebrating his favorite teams. Whether watching football games or enjoying a delicious meal of brisket, pork chops, and millionaire pie, Mario found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Mario also had a warm heart for his community and family, which was reflected in the gratitude expressed to Davita Dialysis nurses and technicians for their exceptional care over the past 21 years. He was fortunate to have a steadfast friend in Ernie Reyes, who always stood by him, along with his business partner Rubelin Torres, contributing to his life's many successes.
Mario is preceded in death by his mother, Solia Porras; sisters, Sylvia Cifuentes and San Juanita; brother, Victor Pena; and his loyal dog and companion, Chula, who brought him comfort and joy.
In celebration of Mario's life, friends and family are invited to honor his memory by wearing attire that reflects his favorite teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, Michael Jordan memorabilia, or anything representing Cheech and Chong.
Mario Ramos leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and a fierce commitment to family and friends. His indomitable spirit will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St @ Port Ave; with a Celebration of Life and Prayer Service to be held at 6:00 PM. Services will conclude that evening.
