Obituary of Patricia M. Castillo
Patricia M. Castillo, age 54, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Patricia was born on November 2, 1970, in Mexico City, Mexico, the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Del Carmen (nee Villegas) Garcia.
Patricia was a big advocate for animals, dedicated to ending animal cruelty. Dancing was her passion, especially when she shared the dance floor with her husband. The role of grandmother brought her unparalleled joy, and she embraced the task of caring for her grandchildren with love.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Roberto; children, Jaime (Brenda) Castillo, Luis Castillo, Yanelli Castillo, and Araceli Castillo; grandchildren, Xavier, Daniel, Kayden, Gabriel, and Sofia; sisters, Dominga Garcia and Marialina Garcia; brothers, Antonio Garcia and Hector Garcia; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Patricia M. Castillo will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, 60431, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will follow Friday, March 21, 2025, at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 404 N. Hickory St., Joliet, IL, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. As it was her request, cremation rites will be accorded following services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to for animal rescue and protection.

Patricia M. Castillo, de 54 años, falleció el sábado 15 de marzo de 2025 en el Centro Médico St. Joseph de Joliet. Patricia nació el 2 de noviembre de 1970 en la Ciudad de México, México, hija de los difuntos Antonio y María Del Carmen (de soltera Villegas) García.
Patricia fue una gran defensora de los animales y se dedicó a erradicar la crueldad animal. Bailar era su pasión, especialmente cuando compartía la pista con su esposo. Su rol de abuela le brindó una alegría inigualable y abrazó con amor la tarea de cuidar a sus nietos.
A Patricia le sobreviven su amado esposo, Roberto; sus hijos, Jaime (Brenda) Castillo, Luis Castillo, Yanelli Castillo y Araceli Castillo; sus nietos, Xavier, Daniel, Kayden, Gabriel y Sofía; sus hermanas, Dominga García y Marialina García; sus hermanos, Antonio García y Héctor García; y varios sobrinos y sobrinas.
El velatorio de Patricia M. Castillo se llevará a cabo el jueves 20 de marzo de 2025 en la Funeraria Fred C. Dames, ubicada en 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, de 16:00 a 20:00 h. El servicio fúnebre se realizará el viernes 21 de marzo de 2025 a las 9:15 h desde la funeraria hasta la Iglesia Católica de San Juan Bautista, ubicada en 404 N. Hickory St., Joliet, IL, donde se celebrará una misa de entierro cristiano a las 10:30 h. Como lo solicitó, se realizará la cremación después del servicio.
En lugar de flores, se pueden realizar donaciones en su memoria a la para el rescate y la protección de animales.
