Died November 13, 2025, at the age of 79

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Victor P. Cegles, Sr. and Ellen (Yurkonis) Cegles of Niagara Falls, NY.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Joseph Costello; her sons, Shawn M. Costello (Charlene Kaiser) and Shannon P. Costello (Tamny Bering); her siblings, Constance (Jack) Turbidy, Victor (Bonnie) Cegles, Lawrence Cegles, and Mary Beth (Mark) Lemongello; her loving grandchildren, Clara, Seamus, Anna, Finn, Boden and Tegan, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pat was born in Niagara Falls. She was the oldest of 5 children, attended LaSalle High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Rosary Hill College (Daemen University) in medical technology. While there, she met the love of her life, John, and they married in June of 1968. They lived in Buffalo, Saranac Lake, and Sacramento, CA. before settling in Rochester, NY. She was a laboratory supervisor with Genesee Hospital followed by a long career at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (Kodak then J&J).

Patty enjoyed spending time with her family at their Farm in the Adirondacks and, later, with her grandchildren at her Camp on Owasco Lake. A proud Lithuanian Catholic until her death, Pat gave back to her community through volunteering her time and donating what she could to others.

Calling hours will take place on November 25, 2025 from 4pm -6pm at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services INC (3325 Winton Road South, Rochester, New York 14623). Patricia's funeral mass will be held on November 26, 2025 at 1pm at St. Louis Church (64 South Main Street, Pittsford, New York 14534). Interment will take place on November 28, 2025 at 11am at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Auburn New York (6020 Lake Avenue, Auburn, new York 13021)
