Patricia Danly Obituary
Pat was born in New York, New York to Kenneth Malcomb and Ruth Pauline (Towne) Walters on May 18, 1936. She went on to earn a Masters Degree in Education from Michigan State University. She worked as a Teacher for West Ottawa Public Schools/Lakewood Elementary for 36 Years. She enjoyed sailing, knitting, playing the piano, gardening, and traveling. Pat met Richard A Danly at the Macatawa Bay Yacht Club. Later he moved to Holland, Michigan and they were married in 2000. Pat and Dick enjoyed many years together sailing the Great Lakes and traveling the world. They accomplished quite a feat by cruising the Great Circle Loop twice in their trawler.
Pat is survived by her children, Steve Moeke, Bob Moeke, George (Jodi) Moeke, Jeanne (Steve) Windemuller; 5 grandchildren, Hailey (Moeke) Allen, Shelby (Moeke) Bensinger, Erin (Moeke) Gipperich, Randi Windemuller, and Trent Windemuller, 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Marianne (David) Mc Beth , William "Bill" (Liz) Walters; stepchildren, Connie (Tom) Petersen , Mark (Pat) Danly, Dave (Theresa) Danly, Craig (Nancy) Danly, Keith (Laurie) Danly; 12 step grandchildren, 11 step great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard A Danly and sister, Ruth Elaine Sully.
A private family committal will be held at Dykstra Funeral Home on March 11, 2026 with Reverend Jen Adams of Grace Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be followed at Lakewood Cemetery, Lakewood Blvd., Holland.
