Patricia O. Darrow

Patricia (O'Connor) Darrow, age 91, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025 at Elderwood Nursing Home in Liverpool.

Pat was a graduate of Eastwood High School. She married Paul F. Darrow, and together they raised their family in Liverpool. In 1992, Pat and Paul moved to Hampstead, North Carolina, before she eventually returned to Liverpool following Paul's passing.

Pat worked for 14 years as a school bus driver for Liverpool Central Schools. She was also very active in the Liverpool Fire Department Auxiliary, serving as past president. Fondly known as "Paramedic Pat", she rode with the ambulance service, an experience that inspired her to return to school and earn her LPN license. She devoted 30 years of service in various hospital and occupational nursing positions in the Syracuse and North Carolina communities.

Throughout her life, Pat had many interests, including stock car racing, bowling, snowmobiling, and skiing. Her greatest passion, however, was golf, and she could still hit a respectable ball at 90.

Pat is predeceased by her husband, Paul Darrow, in 1998; her son, Paul "PD" Darrow, in 2025; her brothers, John, Larry, and Ed O'Connor; and her sister, Mary O'Connor Wilson.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Joe) Kohl and Kathy (Fred) Kuepper; her grandchildren, Christopher Darrow, Kristin (Luke) McDonald, Kevin (Jennifer) Kohl, Steven Darrow, and Eric (Kara) Kohl; and her nine great-grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as "Mema", who brought her great joy.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Buckley Landing Assisted Living and Elderwood Nursing Home for the wonderful care and compassion shown to our mom.

To celebrate Patricia's life, relatives and friends are invited to a calling hour on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Pope John XXIII Church, 8290 Soule Road, Liverpool, NY 13090. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am at the church. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date.
