Born on August 13, 1932, Patricia Ann Daugherty (Pat or affectionately known as 'Gram', died on November 22, 2023, at the Kearny County Hospital at the age of 91. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Raymond M and Maude Hessling.
Pat married Bill Daugherty on September 6, 1953, and to this union, Kathi Sue, William Douglass and Raelynn were born. Pat proudly bragged about her 5 grandchildren (Holli, Kalen, Craig, Jordan, and Keri) and 10 Great-grandchildren (Matti, Micah, Marcus, Kathryn, Jullianne, Jameson, Leland, Rourke, Eleanor, and Solal.
Pat loved cats. There were always one or two cats in the house. Her last cat named Trouble moved to the nursing home with her and Bill. Rarely was there a time when Pat wasn't sewing or embroidering. She enjoyed sewing gifts for family and friends. Pat loved playing games of all kinds but enjoyed winning even more. Pat was a 50 plus year member of PEO.
Pat is survived by her son Doug and wife Sheri of West Melbourne, Florida, Son-in-Law Steve Sullivan of Lakin, Kansas and all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and daughters, Kathi and Raelynn.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024, at the First Presbyterian Church in Lakin, Kansas. Burial will follow at the Lakin Cemetery. The family suggests memorials given to the PEO Scholarship Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 91, Lakin, Kansas 67846. Condolences may be given at garnandfuneralhomes.com.
