Randy Randle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Garnand Funeral Homes - Hugoton on Nov. 30, 2025.
Randy Abe Milton Randle, age 78, of Rolla, Kansas, passed away from this life the morning of November 26, 2025, at his home. He was born, February 5, 1947, on the farm in Rolla, the son of Glen and Thelma (Dixon) Randle.
Randy grew up in Rolla where he graduated from high school and first developed the work ethic and dedication that would guide him throughout his life. As a young man, he farmed and managed the Rolla Swimming Pool. Randy went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from Fort Hays State University. While at FHSU, he was a football letterman and member of the rodeo club. After college he taught and coached in Cunningham, Kansas, leading an 8-man football team. His commitment to his players and sport earned him the honor of Coach of the Year in 1975. In 1976 he was baptized at the UMC in Cunningham, Kansas.
Randy went to work at the Cimarron Insurance Company in 1977 and held summer football camps. He also worked for Blakely Crop Hail, Fireman's Fund and Farmer's Mutual. On December 19, 1987, Randy married Gonza L. Barnes, at Trinity Baptist Church in Hugoton, Kansas. He enjoyed roping, hunting, taking treasured trips with his wife, family and friends; and watching his longhorn cattle.
Randy is survived by his wife, Gonza Randle of Rolla; children, Sami J. Randle and fiancé, James V. Dreiling, of Hays, Kansas, Scott A. Randle and wife, Shelby, of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Danny Baker and wife, Frances, of Temple, Texas, and Gwendolyn Lorenz and husband, Danny, of Belton, Texas; sister, Annetta Dirks of WaKeeney, Kansas; grandchildren, Henry, Maggie, James, Devin Cain and husband Nathan, Dakota Lewallen and husband Seth, Darby, Megan, and Sydney; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Casen, Cole, Lindon, Logan and Landry; and brother-in-law, Jack Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Justin Hughes; sisters, Nina Henson and husband, Wayne, Glenetta Cooper, and Vivian Quimby and husband, Dennis; and brother-in-law, Tobias T. Dirks, Jr.
He never knew a stranger having had contacts and friends from all over. Good ride cowboy!
A celebration of life will be Monday, December 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton with Reverend Pascal Klein officiating.
