Patricia M. (Aube) Davis, of Red Lion, DE, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
Pat was born in
Detroit, MI on January 3, 1949 and moved to Leedom Estates in
New Castle, DE at the age of three. After marriage, she and her husband, Fuzzy, bought the home directly across the street from her childhood home where her parents continued to reside until their passing. Pat was extremely close to her mother and together with her daughter, Stacie, the three of them spent most of their time together. After spending 50+ years living on Sykes Road, Pat finally moved from Leedom Estates when she and Fuzzy built a home in Red Lion in 2004.
She attended Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School from kindergarten through eighth grade, continued her education at St. Elizabeth High School, and graduated from Brown Technical School.
A child of the 1960s, Pat loved growing up during that vibrant era and spending time in downtown Wilmington, especially while working at the Wilmington Dry Goods, her favorite job. She had a deep love for Motown music especially enjoying artists like Darlene Love, Ronnie Spector, Gladys Knight, and The Temptations.
Pat began what would become a remarkable 37-year banking career with Bank of Delaware, later PNC Bank. While working as a teller and then teller supervisor, she excelled in fraud prevention. She started at the Castle Mall branch, where she and her coworkers enjoyed socializing during (potlucks!) and after work. After receiving a promotion, she then worked in the downtown Wilmington branches first at the branch at 6th and Market then to 8th and King, and finally to 9th and Market where she really enjoyed meeting a lot of the "movers and shakers" of Wilmington. After moving to Red Lion, she transferred to the Governors Square branch, working there until her retirement.
Pat was an excellent cook and baker, sharing her skills with her son and daughter. She enjoyed being on the go at all times, always in search of a bargain, a candy store, a bakery or restaurant. She loved traveling but was only drawn to destinations with blue water and palm trees. Her favorite trips included multiple trips to Florida and Disney, including the Disney Cruise, Hawaii and Mexico with her beloved grandson, William; the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and a recent trip to Mackinac Island. She cherished time spent at her beach house in Ocean View. When not on the go, Pat enjoyed true crime tv and knew she would have made an excellent forensic investigator.
A lover of nature, Pat especially found joy in the beauty of the moon, sun, and stars. She treasured sharing the moon and stars with William who would always make sure she was aware when the moon was especially pretty. The two shared a special bond filled with love, laughter, and wonder.
Pat was preceded in death by her treasured grandson, William T. Davis III; her husband of 35 years, William T. "Fuzzy" Davis; her parents, Lucien J. and Mary T. (Touhey) Aube; and her brother, Timothy J. Aube. She is deeply missed by her children, Stacie M. Shriver (Rick) and William T. "Billy" Davis, Jr.; and her furry companion, Finn, who she kiddingly referred to as "Evil Dog".
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 am until 10 am on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway,
New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 10 am. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
