Patricia Anita Fillinger

Patricia Fillinger, age 78, of Pickerington Ohio passed away peacefully just six days after her husband of 53 years, Paul Fillinger.

Patricia was born on March 27, 1947, in New Castle, Indiana, to James and Phyllis Mackey, who preceded her in death. She was a 1965 graduate of Whitehall Yearling High School and began her professional life at Western Electric. After retiring from Western Electric, Patricia followed her passion and opened her own business, Chapel Hill Florist. She poured her heart into her shop and took immense pride in her work, earning the trust and admiration of her customers and community.

Her creativity was boundless. With an artistic flair uniquely her own, Patricia had a remarkable ability to transform the ordinary into something beautiful. Whether through her floral designs, home décor, or personal style, she brought beauty and imagination into every space she touched.

Patricia loved to travel and cherished her adventures across Europe, Hawaii, and the U.S. West Coast. She had a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures-flea markets, garage sales, shopping trips, and spontaneous outings were among her favorite pastimes. Above all, Patricia treasured her friendships. Her card club girls and dinner nights with close friends were some of her favorite nights.

Her family extends heartfelt thanks to all those who offered companionship, meals, and love to Patricia and Paul in recent months.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine Barclay, and her granddaughter, Lauren Barclay, she loved Lauren "more than life itself."

She is also survived by her sister, Paula (Richard Schuh); sister and brothers-in-law, Sharon (Chuck Stockhausen), and Gail (Keith Fillinger), as well as many other extended family, and cherished friends.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul, her brothers, Michael Mackey and Stephen Mackey; her sister, Susan Fjelsted, and brother-in-law, Paul Fjelsted.

Fillinger and their lives together. Friends and family may visit from 1-2pm at the funeral home on Sunday, November 9, 2025. A celebration of life will follow beginning at 2pm in the funeral home on Sunday, November 9, 2025. We will share stories, memories, and moments of joy in remembrance of the lives well lived. Casual attire is welcome- come as you are, with love in your heart.
