Patricia Ann Fillip, 84, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on January 15, 2023.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, January 23, 2023 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Greg Breedlove, pastor at First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fillip was born on September 11, 1938 in Ballinger to Hazel and Zach Tounget. Pat lived in the Concho Valley her entire life and graduated from Bronte High School. She married John Paul Fillip on April 8th, 1964 in San Angelo, Texas and became a widow in October 2010.
Pat was a loving and outgoing person who lived a full and happy life. She loved raising her sons and was a Boy Scout den mother and Santa Rita Elementary PTA member when they were younger. Nothing was more important than ensuring her boys had opportunities to thrive in life. She was also a competitive person and enjoyed racing sailboats with her husband John. The pair even wore custom bathing suits that matched the sailboat they raced in. After winning plenty of regattas, Pat became very active in her church community.
At First Baptist church she taught Sunday School, volunteered in the bus ministry, and was a voracious student of the Bible. Most recently, Pat worked at the Rust Street Ministries and Neighbor's Café helping the underserved community. Pat was always quick to jump in to fill the void whenever there was a need.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, husband John, and brothers, Billy, Jerry, and Ken Tounget.
She is survived by her brother, Ricky Tounget; her son, Dennis Fillip and wife Lisa; her two granddaughters, Catherine, and Leslie, who she loved and adored; her sons, Tennis Layne Fillip and William Robert Fillip; her sister-in-law, Charlotte Tounget, and multiple nieces and nephews, their spouses and children.
