Patricia Ann Garbez

Patti Garbez, 73 of Corralitos, CA, passed away peacefully on April 18,2024, at her home, in her own bed. Patti was a beautiful person and will be greatly missed. Patti grew up in San Pedro, CA, where she lived with her parents, Ester and Harvey Harms and her brother Robert Harms. She attended San Pedro High School where she was a cheer leader and student body president. She spent her free time Knee Boarding and Sailing.

In 1972 she moved to Santa Cruz and worked as a Sailmaker, she soon took a job at Bill Lee Yachts, working in his office. During this time, she also took to doing boat deliveries, twice taking boats down the Mississippi River through the Gulf of Mexico, to Panama. These boats were Pilot Boats purchased by Panama to work the canal, she also delivered boats from Mexico and Hawaii to Santa Cruz, CA.

In 1979 she met Bali Garbez, and they married August 8,1981. They lived in a house overlooking Santa Cruz Harbor until 1999 when they bought a home in Corralitos, CA. Together they enjoyed playing golf and camping in their free time. Their favorite time was spent walking their dog on the beach, which they did three to four times a week. Patti loved living in Corralitos for the neighbors and friends she made. Patti made friends easily with her smile and love of people.

Patti leaves behind many nephews and nieces from her brother Robert, including Tami, Dustin and Casey and many family members, friends and her surviving husband, Bali of 45 years will forever love her.
