Patricia A. Geras, born on August 12, 1936, in Mahanoy City, left this world peacefully on September 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia led a remarkable life, devoted to her family, her faith, and the nursing profession she cherished.

A proud graduate of Mahoney City High School in 1954, Patricia continued her education at the Allentown School of Nursing, where she embarked on a lifelong career as a registered nurse. She dedicated many years to St. Joseph's Medical Center, where she served as the head nurse and later took on medical duties in private duty cases. Her compassion and commitment to helping others were evident in her vocation, a calling she cherished deeply.

Patricia’s family was at the heart of her existence. She shared an enduring marriage of 68 years with her husband, Stephen Geras. Together, they built a loving home filled with laughter and cherished memories. Their shared love for each other was evident in all that they did, including their trips to the casino.

Patricia is survived by her three children, Angela Geras, Stephen P. Geras and his wife Sue, and Sylvia Bailey. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Brandi Driesbach and Shannon Nicholson, Mark and Michael Geras and great-grandchildren, Tyler and Spencer Nicholson.

In addition to her family, Patricia had a wide array of interests. She found joy in nurturing her garden, had a deep love of all animals, and enjoyed feeding them, as well as watching the birds and squirrels, whom she would lovingly scold before offering them peanuts. Patricia was also deeply rooted in her faith, regularly attending Holy Guardian Angels RCC, and was known for her daily prayers, a testament to her spirituality.

Her memories are treasured, including holiday meals that brought the entire family together, showcasing her love for cooking and connection with loved ones. Patricia's warmth and spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Preceding Patricia in death were her parents, Joseph and Anna (Swadis) Setevage, and her sister, Loretta Turrano.
