Scott N. Fies, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, at Reading Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 27, 1950, Scott lived a life full of dedication to both his profession and his passions.
For 42 years, Scott was a loyal employee at Trim Master, a testament to his work ethic and commitment. He held an Associate's Degree in electrical engineering from Penn State, where he developed a lasting love for the university's football team, clearly evident in his spirited support during game days. Scott was more than a hardworking individual; he was deeply involved in his community.
A lifetime member of Calvary Lutheran Church, he contributed his time and talents to serve others. His hobbies showcased his vibrant character and love for life. An avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles, he was never far from a sporting event that stirred his passion. Golfing was another favorite pastime, where he reveled in both the challenge of the game and the camaraderie it offered. Known affectionately as "Mr. Fix It," Scott had a natural talent for home repair, enjoying the satisfaction of tinkering around the house and taking on projects that kept him busy and fulfilled. His passion extended to stock car racing, a pursuit that thrilled him and was shared with friends who shared his enthusiasm. One of his cherished activities was going to the shore with family, creating lasting memories that would be treasured forever .
Scott is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Susan E. (Giles) Fies; daughter, Allison N. Clark, and her husband, Shawn; sister, Robin Fies; and his adored grandchildren, Chase and Emerson. He also leaves behind nieces and a nephew, Bobbi Butterweck, Marci Harr, Lauren Deweese, and Shawn Deweese, who will remember him fondly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce D. and L. Jane (Rentschler) Fies, and a sister, Dian Butterweck.
