Patricia "Pat" Elizabeth Griffith went home to be with the Lord on February 2, 2026, at her residence in Dunlap, Tennessee. Pat passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family.

Pat was born on October 14, 1935. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford and Dixie Smith; her brothers, Richard and Robert Smith; and her beloved daughter, Denise Griffith

.

Pat is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jimmy Griffith; her daughter, Michele (Garry) Layne; her sister, Kay (David) Slater; her sister in-law, Bonnie Smith; her grandchildren, Devin (Chris) Moore and Justin (Danielle) Shoemate; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Cooper Moore, and Baylee and Ian Shoemate; and several nieces and nephews.

Pat was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Dunlap for 65 years, where she joyfully served as a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir.

Pat was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with them, whether doing something special or simply being together.
