Patricia A. Helm

Patricia Ann Helm, 83, of Whiting, NJ, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, February 13, 2026.

Born in Newark, she lived in Gillette, NJ until moving to Toms River in 1959. She was a dedicated and compassionate nurse. She devoted her life to acts of service for others. Patricia also served as an educator, guiding and inspiring future nurses. For over 40 years, she served as a singer, lector and a Eucharist Minister at 12 o'clock mass at St. Joseph Church.

She is reunited in heaven with her beloved Husband, Raymond O. Helm, Jr. as well as her son, Raymond J. Helm. She was also predeceased by her parents, Rita McDonnell Maroney and John McDonnell.

She will forever be held and cherished in the hearts of her loving family; her loving family son, Steven Helm, daughter Maureen DeSanto and partner Ryan Stack, daughter Eileen Helm and her husband Michael Worman. Grandchildren: Carly Helm, Colin Helm, Owen DeSanto, Lauren DeSanto and Olivia DaisyRayne Worman. Brother Dr. John T. McDonnell and his wife, Lillian. Her devoted caretaker, Irma, as well as many cousins and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 3pm to 7pm for a visitation, at the Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered Friday, February 20, 2026, at 10:00am at St. Jospeh Roman Catholic Church, 685 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08753.
