Gerry Ann Helm

Gerry Ann Helm, 69, of Eastview, KY, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.

Born in Milwaukee, WI, to George and Christine Doty, Gerry lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep loyalty, and a fierce love for her family. She spent many years as a Registered Nurse, caring for others with a steady, capable presence. At home, she devoted herself to raising her children as a strong single mother and poured her energy into home schooling, guiding her kids with patience and determination.

Gerry was, by nature, a homebody. She found comfort in the familiar rhythms of home and preferred the peace of her own space over the noise of the outside world. Though her circle was small, the relationships she nurtured were meaningful and lasting. Her family was the center of her world, and she took pride in the life she built with them. She was a member of Faith Apostolic Church in Elizabethtown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold D. Helm; her parents, George and Christine Doty; her daughter, Jasmine J. Charles; and her sister, Kathy Beck.

Left to honor her memory are her children: her son, Joshua (Caitlyn) Charles of Brandenburg, KY; her daughters, Alexis (Cody) Charles of Eastview, KY, Krystal Charles, and Jaylee Denny. She is also survived by her sister, Bonnie Leiser; her grandchildren, Nathan Rittershaus, Colton Buchholtz, Koda Charles, and Noah Charles; and one great-grandchild. Each of them was a source of joy and purpose in her life.

Gerry will be remembered for her resilience, her quiet humor, and the steadfast love she gave to those closest to her.
