Patricia Hudelston Obituary

Patricia M Hudelston, (nee McClure), age 88, passed away quietly on the morning of September 11, 2025, at Berkshire Medical Center. She was a resident of Sugar Hill Assisted Living, Dalton, MA.

Patricia was the daughter of John and Nora McClure originally from Donegal/Mayo Ireland who settled in Pittsfield, MA. She was a fiercely independent, and above all else, a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished her family and friends and so enjoyed spending time with them. She was married to her soulmate Kenneth W. Hudelston Jr. for 71 years and the two them were inseparable until his passing in early 2020.

In her early years "Trish" worked in retail, before joining the Berkshire County Treasurer's Office until her retirement 23 years later. She served in many capacities including Payroll, and time spent as Assistant Conty Treasurer.

Trish and Ken were active members of the Dalton American Legion, volunteers at St. Joseph's Bingo, members of B.P.O.E Elks and were travelling hockey parents. They spent over 20 years as snowbirds and residents of Bradenton, Florida. Returning to Pittsfield as residents again in 2019.

Trish's legacy continues with daughter, Patricia McLaughlin (Edward) of Pittsfield, MA and Kenneth W. Hudelston (Suzette) of Rathdrum, ID. Lovingly known as 'Nan', she leaves grandchildren Alan, Joseph, Kevin, Colin and Kristin; as well 9 precious great grandchildren Skylar, Cooper, Brady, Ryley, Jack, Henry, Samuel, Charlotte and Edith.

Trish is survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Mary 'Eileen' Miraglia and Mrs. Nora Quadrozzi, both of Pittsfield. She is predeceased by brothers John, James and Thomas.

Calling hours will be Friday, October 3, from 4-7 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 4, Sacred Heart Church, Elm St., Pittsfield, MA at 9:30 a.m. followed by burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donation may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital (StJude.org) or Towers to Tunnels (T2T.org).
