Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary -SabinalPatricia Aleen Hudson McFarland, born on May 7, 1935, in Sabinal, Texas, peacefully passed away at her residence on September 27, 2025. Known affectionately as Patsy, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, whose legacy will forever resonate with those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held on October 11, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Sabinal.
She was born to Thomas Minor Titsworth and Josephine Weber Titsworth. She married Marshall Hudson on June 12, 1954 and C.R. McFarland on July 7, 1998.
Patsy is survived by her two sons, Robert Hudsonand his wife Rita of D’Hanis; Paul Hudson and his wife Alissa of Fredericksburg; stepson, Mike McFarland and wife Pearl of Greenville, Texas. Her grandchildren Alaina Weynand and her husband Vance, Cheyenne Hudson, and Arianna Hudson were a constant source of pride as were her great-grandchildren, Logan, Victoria, Alexandria, and Elizabeth Weynand.
Patsy also leaves behind her cherished brother, Tommy Joe Titsworth, of Comfort, along with nieces and nephews including Debbie Dunphy (Bo), Cindy Vogt (Mike), Marcie Thompson, and Tommy Titsworth, Jr. (Lori). Each carried a special place in her heart and contributed to the tapestry of her family life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marshall Hudson and husband C.R. McFarland, sister-in-law, Silvia Titsworth and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Vernon and Bette Cooke.
Patsy’s life was characterized by love, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to those around her. A devoted member of her church and a deeply engaged community member, she gave freely of her time and heart to make a difference in the lives of others. Her remarkable service included more than 3,500 hours as an Auxiliary Volunteer at Uvalde Hospital, a true expression of her lifelong commitment to helping those in need. Patsy’s legacy will continue to be felt within her family, her church, and the broader community, a testament to the profound influence she had throughout her fulfilling journey.
