Patricia Hurley Obituary
Sue was born to Mike & Vera "June" (Rhodes) Leach in Centerville on August 15, 1948. She received her education from Unionville High School in Unionville, Missouri graduating in 1966. After high school, she furthered her education and attended Quincy Junior College, graduating with an Associate of Arts Degree in 1968. Sue was united in marriage to Arthur Dwayne Hurley on July 10, 1976.
Sue worked at the Centerville Community College and enjoyed any and all things related to crafting, specifically painting ceramics. In recent years, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Curiel; seven grandchildren, Olivia Teno, Ella Teno, Alejandro Curiel II, Sofia Curiel, Mateo Curiel, Javier Curiel, and Lucie Curiel; siblings, Sheryl Pancrazio (Ed) and Michael Leach (Jeanie); and bonus grandchildren, Adelina Curiel, Anna Curiel, Elena Curiel, Quentin Boland, and Jade Lasher; as well as numerous extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; and son, Arthur Dwayne Hurley II.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with Larry Bettis officiating. Interment will take place in Shoney Cemetery immediately following. Visitation will be one hour prior to service from 1-2:00 pm. Memorials may be given to Melissa Curiel, to be designated a later date, and mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, ATTN: Hurley Family, 501 North 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
