Patricia "Patti" Lynn Johnson, 54, of Colman, SD, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, December 30, 2025, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Skroch Funeral Chapel in Flandreau, SD. Family present visitation will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., also at Skroch Funeral Chapel.

Patti was born on March 17, 1971, to Donald and Joanne (Blanchard) Johnson in Flandreau, SD. She grew up in Flandreau before the family moved to a farm in Egan, SD, where she began elementary school and later graduated from Egan High School in 1989.
She was united in marriage to Paul Hemmer in December 1991. To this union, she was blessed with three children, Megan, Curtis, and Allison, who were raised in Colman, SD.

Throughout her life, Patti worked various jobs and enjoyed interacting with people wherever she was. While she took pride in her work, her favorite and most cherished roles were being a mother and a grandmother. Patti was a proud grandma who deeply treasured time spent with her five grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family, helping out on the farm, and going on summer camping trips with her sisters. Over the last two and a half years, Patti courageously battled pancreatic cancer, facing each day with strength, grace, and resilience.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children: Megan (Adam) Soward of Sioux Falls, SD; Curtis (Abigail) Hemmer of Colman, SD; and Allison Hemmer (Joseph Rath) of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by her mother, Joanne Johnson; her five grandchildren, Ashton, Hendrix, Layne, Audrey, and William; and her siblings: Ronnie (Lisa) Johnson of Egan, SD; Bonnie Dudley of Volga, SD; Steven (Paula) Johnson of Brookings, SD; and Traci Miles (Phil Gervais) of Currie, MN, along with many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Johnson, and her nephews, Dustin Stotz and Levi Miles.

Patti will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
