Patricia Ann Jones

1954 - 2021

Jones, Patricia Ann, - 66, of Pleasantville, was born on December 5, 1954, in Atlantic City, NJ. She was born to Eugenia Nelson and Julio Martinez-West. She attended Holy Spirit Grammar and Holy Spirit High School graduating in 1973. Pat worked for the Board of Elections for many years before working for the Pleasantville Board of Education until her retirement in 2012. If there was anything Pat enjoyed doing more than anything, it was relaxing at the beach with her girls. On holidays, birthdays, or special events, you could count on seeing her there. She often danced the night away to her favorite Gospel, R&B, and Soul tunes. She regularly attended church services at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Pleasantville. Her life from beginning to end was all about her journey to peace, which she wrote about in her book she published titled "I Journey to Peace". On October 9th, 2021, Pat found her peace when she returned home to be with the Lord. She is survived by: her husband of 37 years, Ricardo Jeffrey Jones, Sr.; children, Syreeta Lynn Purnell-Estrada (German) and Tanesha Nycole Purnell (Ramone) and Ricardo Jeffrey Jones, Jr.(Kareema); eight grandchildren; siblings, Lanora West Jones, Joe West (Bernice) and Dr. Beryl West; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be 10AM, Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the WinSan Center at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 353 South New Road, Pleasantville, where friends may call from 9AM until 9:45AM. Interment to follow in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, New Jersey.
