Patricia A. "Patsy" DeMichael Kinsey, 80, of New Philadelphia passed away at the Hennis Care Centre at Dover on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
She was born on June 5, 1945 in Dover to the late Nick and Ruby McClanahan DeMichael. Patsy was also preceded in death by her son, John Kinsey III; sister, Lola Bond; brother, Robert DeMichael; granddaughter, Destani Kinsey and great grandson, Hardin Neighbor.
Patsy worked retail for Big Wheel in Uhrichsville and Conley's in Dover. She was also an auditor for Best Western and Travel Lodge and was a lead worker at Goodwill Industries. Known for her boundless love for people, Patsy never met a stranger, greeting everyone with a smile that could light up a room. Patsy's passion for life shone through in her love for dancing, and hosting parties at her home. She also had a zest for adventure, cherishing her travels to new places and the thrill of visiting casinos. A woman of deep faith, Patsy actively participated in numerous churches in the area until illness prevented her attendance.
Patsy is survived by her son, Scott (Traci) Kinsey of New Philadelphia; granddaughter, Stephani (Scott) Neighbor; great grandchildren, Wyatt and Scarlett Neighbor; sister in law, Donna DeMichael of Michigan; nephew, Jimmy (Lora) Persinger of West Virginia.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with interment of the ashes to be in the East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Hennis Care Centre for their exceptional care and compassion during Patsy's time there.
