Patricia Fern Kouns, age 80 of Nashville, TN, passed away September 8, 2025 at Smyrna Care Center.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2025 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Dr. William Outlaw officiating. Burial will follow in Tatum-Coleman Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Friday morning.
Patricia entered this life on January 4, 1945 in Vanleer, TN, daughter to the late Robert and Myrtle Spears. Patricia grew up attending Yellowcreek School and Stoney Point Freewill Baptist Church. Patricia was a current member of Richland Free Will Baptist Church, and was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus. She was greatly loved by her family; she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husbands, George Dickens, and Vernon Kouns; siblings, Irene Atkins, Betty Jean Ellis, Sarah Yates, and Lillie Baggett.
Survivors include her loving son, James Kevin (Pennie) Rowland; siblings, Billy (Bettie) Spears, and Faye (Robert) Cripps. Patricia also leaves behind her precious grandchildren, James Lee (Erica) Rowland, Isaiah Rowland, D’Artagnan Rowland, Angel Rowland, Jessica (Michael) Crow; and three great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
