Patricia Kuzela Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 14, 2025.
Patricia "Patt" Joan Kuzela, 94, passed away peacefully in Annapolis, MD, on November 13, 2025, surrounded by her family. Patt is survived by her daughter, Lisa Peelish (Michael); her two grandchildren, Natalie Peelish (Calvin Jennings) and Daniel Peelish; her sister, Norma Ingrim; her brother, Donald Roberts; and several nieces and nephews. Patt was born on October 3, 1931, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Edward and Effie May Todd Roberts. Patt married George Kuzela on March 1, 1949, and together they raised their daughter Lisa in Omaha. In 1991, Patt retired with her husband George to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she spent twenty-six years enjoying the warmth and dry weather, before relocating to Annapolis, Maryland to live near her daughter and son-in-law. A formidable card player, Patt could often be found championing a game of bridge or Canasta. A world traveler, Patt fondly recalled trips with her family to Australia, Hong Kong, Hawaii, Alaska and the Amazon Jungle. A woman of great intellect and wisdom, Patt never shied from a political debate or a Sunday crossword puzzle. Additionally, Patt had quite an eye for design and fashion, and crafted several pieces of art and furniture with her husband. Friends and family will remember Patt for her kindness, wit, and love of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Patt was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Harold Roberts. Patt valued her family above all else, and cherished her years spent with her daughter, son-in-law, and beautiful grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (online here) in Patt's honor. Services for Patt are currently being planned. Please check back for details.
