Patricia Lemieux Obituary

Patricia Kathleen Lemieux
Patricia Kathleen Lemieux, 85, of Somers, passed away peacefully November 22, 2024.
Patricia was born to Fred Quinby and Mary Grant (Devlin) in Hollywood, CA on July 15, 1939. She graduated from High School in Montana. Patricia met her beloved husband, Robert, while he was serving in the Air Force in Reno, Nevada, where she and Robert were married December 14, 1958, and moved back to Connecticut to start their life together, and made their home in Enfield. Together, Patricia and Robert created an amazing family including 5 children, 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Patricia was a homemaker for most of her adult life. She always had a big smile and pushed aside any negativity. She was an eternal optimist and always saw the best in people, even in the face of adversity. Through the years, she would take on part-time jobs to help her husband provide for their family such as Hallmark Distribution Center, Harley Hotel, and finally as a lunch aid in the Enfield School system, where she worked until she was 83 years old. She was so proud of all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Material things were never important to her as these were overshadowed by her unending love for her family and friends. We are all better for having known Patricia, a.k.a., "mom", "meme", "Pat". She never really got over the loss of her husband of 60 years to lung cancer in 2019, but she faced it head-on and was determined to become more independent than she had been her entire life.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her son, David; her grandson, Kenny; her parents, Fred Quinby and Mary Devlin; one brother, William; as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Patricia is survived by a sister, Michele Miller of Daytona Beach, FL; a sister, Marylin Kelly and her husband, Jeff, of Lucas, TX; a brother; Robert Devlin of Anaheim, CA; a son, Robert Lemieux and wife, Ann, of Somers; a daughter-in-law, Jacque Lemieux, of Peyton, Colorado; a son, Gary Lemieux and wife, Traci, of Vernon; a son, James Lemieux and wife, Michele, of New Hartford; and a daughter, Michele Pellegrino and husband, David, of Ellington. Surviving grandchildren include Nathan Lemieux, Cindy Lemieux Slocum, Nathan Lemieux of Colorado, Bryan Lemieux, Eric Lemieux, Jonathan Lemieux, Jessica Lemieux, Joe Lucia, Tyler Lemieux, Emily Wolfe, Joshua Condron, Justin Condron, Kayla Bahler, David Pellegrino, and Kylie Pellegrino. Great-grandchildren include Ava, Jayden, Maeve, Kenny Jr., Brandon, Amber, Jade, Sophia, Robert, Joseph Jr., Arthur, Wilson and Vera; and two great-great-grandchildren, Dexter and Mazikeen; countless nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family from 9 to 11 AM, Wednesday, November 27, at Leete Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 27, 11:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by a burial at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 122 East St., Windsor, CT.
