WATERVILLE - Patricia Marie Longley, a beloved mother and cherished grandmother passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, at the age of 80.
She was born on November 28, 1944 in St. Albans to the late Roger & Lillian (Lawyer) Baker.
As a devoted mother to her eight children, Patricia embodied the spirit of hard work and resilience. She raised her family on the family farm, instilling in them the values of perseverance and hard work. Throughout her life, Patricia embraced various roles, demonstrating her versatility and strength. She worked as a nurse at Verdelle Village, contributed to the manufacturing sectors at IBM and Union Carbide, and served customers with warmth in retail at Big Lots.
Patricia was also known for her creativity and culinary talents. She found joy in crafting and was particularly renowned for her delicious creations, including her famous sour cream cookies, custard pie, and cinnamon rolls. Family gatherings were always a highlight, where her culinary delights brought everyone together. She was also compassionate towards cats and would always take in strays to make sure they were cared for.
She is survived by her children, Lori Paradee and her husband Jay, Leisa Leclair and her husband Fred, Leandra Longley and her partner Danny Fitzgerald, Louise Jacobs and her husband Roger Jr., Rick Longley and his wife Karie, and Roy Longley and his wife Jane; daughter-in-law, Carrie Deuso; and many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brothers, Jerry Baker and his wife Pauline, and Jack Baker and his wife Mary Lou; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her sons, Rene E. Longley, and Raymond Longley who passed away the day before she did; and her grandsons, Rene L. Longley, and Cody Paradee.
Friends & family are invited to a combined life celebration for Patricia and her son Raymond on Monday, November 24, 2025 to include visitation from 2-4:00 PM at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Avenue, Enosburg Falls, VT.
