Patricia Lyle

Patricia Ann Lyle, age 94, of Midland, Michigan, entered the arms of her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2026. She was born on August 9, 1931, in Big Rapids, Michigan; one of nine children of George and Elizabeth (Doyle) Spedoske.

Patricia is a faithful member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO). For many years, she worked in the cafeterias for the Midland Public Schools. Her family will remember her as a terrific mother and grandmother as well as a cut-throat and avid card player.

Patricia married Richard Allen Lyle on June 28, 1952, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Big Rapids, Michigan. In 1987, Patricia and Richard retired to the community of Frankfort, Michigan, a place Patricia truly loved. Richard preceded her in death in November of 1999.

Patricia is survived by her children, Christopher Lyle (Sharon), Terri Robinson (David), Steven Lyle, and Lisa Wiltse (Thomas); grandchildren, Benjamin Lyle, Zachary Lyle, Emily Anderson, Thad Robinson, Devin Dice, and Kelsey Dice; 5 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Lovell, Beatrice Bartolema, Martha Bowden, Betty Westley, Kathleen Kamp, and Nora Mae Gaugier; and brothers, Dominic Spedoske and Joseph Spedoske.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Medilodge of Midland and MyMichigan Hospice for the care and love given to Patricia.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3109 Swede Ave., Midland, MI 48642. The family will greet guests at the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler St., Midland, on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and at the church on Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
