Mrs. Mathes passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the age of eighty-two. She was working in the Sporting Goods Department at Walmart when she retired. Mrs. Mathes loved her family, and her grandchildren were her heart. She was a great cook and two of her favorite pastimes were gardening and fishing, which she really enjoyed.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years and 4 months, Ronald W. Mathes, Sr.; daughters, Ann Jenkins and husband, Bruce, Kathy Smith and husband, Stacey; son, Ronald W. Mathes, Jr. and wife, Claudia; sister, Susan Adams and husband, Bobby; brother, Buddy Fitch and wife, Deann; grandchildren, John Green and wife, Kelsi, Josh Fife and wife, Melissa, Katie Felkins and husband, Aron, and Gracie Fife.
Mrs. Mathes is preceded in death by her parents, Whelbert and Ruby Fitch.
