Patricia Rae Yopp McComb was born on February 27, 1948 in Vivian, Louisiana to Raymond and Margaret Yopp. She was the oldest of 3 children and the only girl. Pat passed into the Lord's kingdom on Monday, October 13, 2025 in the loving hands of the staff at WestLake Assisted Living Facility in DeSoto, TX.
Pat was a long-time resident of Lancaster, TX where she and her late husband of 53 years, Richard, raised their 3 daughters. Their family was members of United Methodist Church of Lancaster for many years. Pat loved her dogs and cats. She and Richard bought their first Great Dane in 1974 and shortly after were bit by the dog show bug. They showed and bred Great Danes under their Raepark Kennel name for over 50 years. They had several other breeds, but Pat's heart stayed true to her beloved Great Danes.
Pat was very involved with Southern Handlers Charity League. This charity helps dog people in need. She was the driving force in the kitchen for all the events held. This was near and dear to her heart.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard McComb; her parents, Raymond and Margaret Yopp; her brother, Doug Yopp; Richard's parents, Charles McComb SR and Martha McComb; her brothers-in-law, Charles McComb Jr and Wesley McComb; and her nephew, Charles McComb III.
Pat is survived by her 3 children and their families: her daughter, Jill Bell and Jose Alvarado, granddaughter, Alexandra Alvarado and grandson, Philipp Alvarado and great-granddaughter, Delilah Banks; her daughter, Susan and Tommy Katzenstein; and her daughter, Kathleen and Michael Turney; her brother and his family: Kenny and Irish Yopp, their sons, Trevor and Tristian Yopp and their families; her sister-in-Law: Lois McComb and her son, Robert and his family; her sister-in-Law: Nancy McComb and her sons, John and his family, Billy and Bobby McComb; and many friends and extended family.
Graveside services celebrating Pat's life were held privately by family on Monday, October 20, 2025. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Pat's name to Southern Handlers Charity League. Link: [email protected] via Paypal.
