Patricia Schreckengost Buchkoski McGuigan, 72, of Natrona Heights, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, at her residence. Pat was born in Freeport on June 27, 1953, a daughter of the late Wanda L. (Howard) and Donald F. Schreckengost. She was the widow of Thomas M. McGuigan. Pat loved socializing and playing games, and she especially enjoyed spending time on her iPad. She was the pinnacle of her family, cherishing every moment with them and her granddogs. Known affectionately as "Mama Pat" to her children's friends and "Aunt" to so many others, she had a remarkable way of making everyone feel at home. If you entered her life as a stranger, you quickly left as family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Pat is survived by a daughter, Erica (fiance, Jason Bowser) Myers; and a son, Tom (Amber) Buchkoski. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Ayden and Brynlee; brother, Robert (Diane) Schreckengost; stepson, Brian McGuigan; stepdaughter, Amy Manifold; stepbrother, Dale Sarver Jr.; stepsister, Cindy (Lad) Barczykowski; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Susan G. McLaughlin and Kathie Eberle. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, at REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Private interment will be held at Brookland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
