Mountain Valley MortuaryPatricia Medina, a vibrant soul who painted the world with her laughter and love, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 18, 1967, in Liberal, Kansas, Patricia graced the lives of many with her infectious spirit and caring heart.
A true embodiment of joy, Patricia cherished colors, especially rainbows, symbolizing the brightness she brought into the lives of her family and friends. She was the life of every party, effortlessly spreading happiness wherever she went. Dancing, singing and cooking were her passions, and her ability to make others laugh made her a cherished presence in any gathering. Patricia showed a selfless nature through her love for cooking, delighting her family with her culinary skills that would turn ordinary meals into cherished memories.
Patricia's family was her universe. She dedicated her life to spoiling her grandchildren: Alexius, Colton, Ethan, Azuriah, Haedan, Jayla, Jazmyn, and Derek, nurturing their dreams and aspirations with unwavering support. Always putting her kids first, she was a dedicated mother to CJ (Kayla Black) Medina, Shananda (Heath Hart) Medina, and Clinton (Kalynn) Medina, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and warmth.
Her contagious positivity shone through even in the face of life's challenges, embodying strength and resilience. A flirtatious homebody at heart, Patricia delighted in her Friday nights spent with friends, yet always cherished the quiet moments shared with her loved ones watching Hallmark movies and Dateline.
She is survived by her children CJ, Shananda, and Clinton, brothers Jesse and Eddie Staggs, sisters Gerri Keating and Brenda Adcock, and her beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Edgar Staggs, mother Geneva Staggs, brother John Staggs and grandson Jordan Medina, who surely welcomed her with open arms in eternal peace.
Patricia Medina's legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched, her love immortalized in each shared laugh and heartfelt moment. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever illuminate the lives of those she adored.
Cremation was selected and a Rosary will be held at 9:00 am on Friday April 17, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista followed by a Mass beginning at 10:00 am, when friends and family can gather to celebrate Patricia's beautiful life.
