Patricia Olliffe Obituary

Patricia Irene Olliffe, 78, of Dravosburg, PA, died on Saturday, March 22, 2025. She was born in McKeesport, PA, on Oct. 24, 1946, and was the daughter of the late John and Irene Liszka Petrosko. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a master's degree in education. Patricia was a teacher for thirty-four years at Baldwin-Whitehall School District. After her retirement, she taught English as a second language for five years in the same school district. She was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA) and was vice president of the Baldwin-Whitehall PSEA for many years. She was very creative, a fantastic decorator, and would make wreaths for others. She also loved traveling, and her favorite places included Rome, Paris, and Alaska. Family was very important to her, especially taking her granddaughter to the theater. She is survived by her husband, Patrick Olliffe Sr.; stepchildren, Patrick (Mary) Olliffe Jr. of Edgeworth, PA; Kerstin (Fred) Gutknecht of Whitehall, PA; granddaughter, Ruby Olliffe; sister, Peggy (Robert) Groover of Mount Lebanon, PA; cousins, George (Cindy) Cain of Hendersonville, NC; Gary (Antonette) Cain of Jefferson Hills, PA; and her beloved cats, Pandra and Samantha. Services officiated by Rev. Thomas J. Burke were held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at STRIFFLERS OF DRAVOSBURG/WEST MIFFLIN INC., 740 Pittsburgh McKeesport Blvd., Dravosburg, PA 15034, (412-678-6192). Trisha was a rare woman who accomplished many things. Her love for Hockey was infectious. Her decor was lovely. Trisha´s love and pride for Ruby was wonderful. I will miss her. Rest in comfort, dear friend.
