Patricia Olsen Obituary

Patricia M Ragone Olsen, 90, of League City, Texas passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 30, 1935, in Galveston, Texas to the late William J and Marie P Ragone. A true matriarch, her extraordinary 90-year journey was a testament to a life filled with grace, resilience, and boundless energy.

Patricia grew up in Galveston during WWII, which instilled in her a lifelong appreciation for hard work and a knack for making a little go a long way. After graduating from Ursuline Academy, she attended the University of Texas, where she studied Fine Arts, and thereafter built a life centered on family and community.

In 1987, she married Walter M Olsen, and together they traveled, entertained and had a great life together. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2011. While she deeply missed her lifelong partner, she continued to embrace life with a joyful heart.

Beyond her roles as a wife and mother, Patricia was known for her strength and work ethic. She had a passion for cooking, and her kitchen was the heart of the home. She dedicated her time and energy to many things like Real Estate Broker and business owner for over 30 years, City Council of Jamaica Beach and her favorite role as "Nana" to her grandsons. An avid traveler, she loved to recount stories of Italy, or the time she rode a dolphin with sparkling eyes.

To her grandsons, Patricia was a beacon of wisdom and love. They will forever cherish the memories of summer visits to her house, or her patience while teaching them to bake or play the piano. She taught us that the most important things in life are the things we share and the memories we create.

Patricia is survived by her children, Lisa Burnett and husband Michael Burnett; Deborah Muir and husband Brian Muir; her grandsons, Ryan Burnett, Trevor Muir and wife Shelby Muir, and her sibling, Doris J Halfman along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son, Scott L Beninati.

A celebration of Patricia's remarkable life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 9 am, at Crowder Funeral Home 111 E. Medical Center Blvd, Webster, TX 77598. A graveside will follow at Mt. Olivet at 11am 7801 Gulf Fwy, Dickinson, TX 77539. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, SPCA and the Alzheimer Foundation all organizations she supported for many years.
