Patricia Ann Palermo passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2025, surrounded by loving family. Pat was a woman who made friends everywhere she went and in everything she did. A spirited traveler, she spent years connecting with people while selling Stanley Home Products and capturing life’s special moments as a wedding photographer. For the past 42 years, Pat and her late husband, Bob, enjoyed spending their winters in Florida. She was a dear friend to many fellow snowbirds and a cherished member of the communities at Bahama Beach Club and Cinnamon Cove. She was the beloved wife of the late Phillip Robert “Bob” Palermo and the devoted mother of the late Gina Palermo. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Werner “Dutch” and Harriet Mukatis (née Wiszowaty), and her brothers, George and Kenneth Mukatis. Pat’s legacy lives on through her surviving family. She is survived by her brother, Alfred Mukatis (Susan); her sons, Michael Palermo (Liz) and Anthony Palermo (Lisa); and her “extra” daughters, Dawn DeBenedictis (Mike), Marianne Atherton (Bobby), Michele Van Der Luit and Debbie Reed (Rick). She will be fondly remembered by her nieces Natalie Mukatis, Michele Mukatis, and Rachel Jones and her nephews Michael Mukatis and Lucius Jones (Ai). Pat was a doting “Nana” to many grandchildren, including Steven Palermo (Robin), Phillip Palermo (Gloria), Samantha Tracy (Joseph), Marissa Manny (Christian), Sam Atherton, Nick Atherton (Nikki), John Van Der Luit (Julissa), Alex Van Der Luit (Ryan), Jake Van Der Luit (Rebekah), and Marina Jones. She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren who brought her great joy: Gina Marie, Lincoln, Grayson, Bonnie, Callie, Colsen, Cooper, Sage, Kacey, and Camilla. Patricia will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
