Ruth Angelacos
July 1, 1942 – December 1, 2025
Ruth Angelacos (Weber), age 83, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, after several years of living with dementia. Born in Germany on July 1, 1942, Ruth later made her home in Chicago and Schaumburg, Illinois, where she built a life rooted in family, faith, and enduring kindness.
Ruth was the loving wife of the late Spero Angelacos and the beloved daughter of the late John and Anna Weber. She was the treasured mother of Tanya (Ron) Liszka and Natalia Angelacos, and the cherished grandmother of Adonis, Sofia, Antonio, Olivia, and Kristen. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Henry and Haley, who brought a smile to her face.
Ruth is remembered with deep affection by her siblings: the late Emilie (late Otto) Garber, Annette (late James) Flanagan, the late Helmuth (late Ingrid) Weber, Viktor (late Peggie) Weber, Dorothea (Pete) Ochoa, John (Jackie) Weber, Pete (Carla) Weber, and Esther (Robert) Dubi. She was a fond aunt to many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her generous heart.
Ruth’s life was defined by warmth and devotion. She was a kind, loving, and faithful woman whose gentle spirit uplifted everyone around her. She found joy in the simple things like cooking and baking for her family, arranging flowers with quiet artistry, singing, and listening to classical music. Her talents and passions brought beauty into the world, and her presence created a sense of comfort and belonging for all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home, Franklin Park. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Dementia Society of America in her memory.
Ruth’s legacy lives on in the love she shared, the family she nurtured, and the grace she carried throughout her life. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished.
