Patricia “Pat” Bugielski, 85 of Addison passed on 11/2/2025. Born 11/2/1940 to John and Marjorie O’Rourke. Loving wife of Ray Bugielski. Dear mother of Kathy (Tom) Willis, Michael (Janet) Bugielski, Mark (Mary Jo) Bugielski and Dan (Kelley) Bugielski. Grandmother of 11 grandchildren Elyse Willis, Heather (Alex) Mussar, Victoria (Chris) Fritz, John (Nicole) Willis, Jr., Adam (Becca) Bugielski, Emily (Joe) Bachmann, Matthew (Angie) Bugielski, Jacob (Nikolette) Bugielski, Nathaniel Bugielski, Bria Bugielski and Regan Bugielski. Seven great grandchildren John Willis, III, Cordelia Willis, Christopher Fritz, Jr., Maverick Ray Fritz, Julian Bugielski, Elliot Bugielski and Alice Mussar. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and brother John O’Rourke.
Pat attended Young Grade School and Austin High School. Pat and Ray met through her brother, while writing to a Marine and married on September 10, 1960. Pat and Ray raised their children in Addison, where Pat worked in schools as a library aid, first at Stone School, then at Jackson Jr. High in Villa Park. Besides enjoying her family with Ray, (especially their grandchildren and great-grandchildren), Pat also enjoyed traveling and gambling. She loved to plan a trip from Chicago to California, with stops every night along the way at a different casino. Pat and Ray recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
Visitation Friday, November 7, 2025, from 3-8 PM at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake Street, Addison (2 Mi. W. of Rt. 83, 2 Mi. E. of Rt. 53). Lying in state Saturday, November 8 from 9 AM until time of Funeral Service, 10 AM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1213 Army Trail Boulevard, Addison. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
