Patricia "Pat" J. Dolan, 82, of South Weymouth passed away on June 8, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born in Roxbury to the late Percy A. Dunn and Alice R. Dunn (Canavan). Pat graduated from the Jeremiah E. Burke School before continuing her education at Quincy College where she completed the nursing program as an LPN. Pat worked many years at South Shore Hospital, on Pratt 3 North, and then worked at family practices in Weymouth and Braintree. Pat married the love of her life, Vinny, in 1963, before settling in South Weymouth in 1966.
Pat enjoyed countless summers spent at their beach house in Hull. She enjoyed the beach, watching the sunset, knitting, and traveling. Pat could also frequently be found supporting all of her grandchildren in any sport or activity, she was their #1 fan. Pat spent a lot of her time in service to others, volunteering for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots, and also being an on-call volunteer for local disaster relief services. Pat was also a member of the Weymouth Eagles and was part of the Ladies' Club at the Weymouth Elks. Pat was a Eucharist Minister at St. Francis Xavier Church in South Weymouth for many years.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Vinny, as well as their four children: Patricia Boyle and her husband, Jim, of South Weymouth, Pamela Sheridan and her husband, John, of South Weymouth, Daniel Dolan and his wife, Dawn, of Hingham, and Dennis Dolan and his partner, Jennifer Curtis, of Hanover. In addition, Pat is survived by her twelve grandchildren: James, Andrew, Michael B., Heather, Ian, Michael D., Colin, Elizabeth, Melissa, Christopher, Jack, and Emma, and her five great-grandchildren: Scarlett, Jackson, Amelia, Connor, and Henry. Pat is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. She is also survived by her brother in laws and sister in laws, Donald Lannigan, Eleanor Dunn, Neal and Carolyn Dolan. Pat is predeceased by her sister, Alice Lannigan, her brother, Harold Dunn, and her brother in laws and sister in laws, Jack Dolan, Paul Dolan, Estelle Dolan, and Barbara Dolan.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours for Pat on Wednesday June 11, 2025, from 4-7pm at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St.(Columbian Sq.), S. Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home at Noon on Thursday for a Celebration of Life prior to the Funeral Mass which will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant St. S. Weymouth at 1pm. Burial will immediately follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
