Patricia “Pat” Louise Callahan McKee, 59, of Clarkton passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born in Woodbridge, Virginia, the daughter of the late Harvey Callahan Sr. and Eunice Wilcox Callahan.
She leaves behind her adoring husband, Donnie McKee of the home, three daughters, Tina Vogeler (Daniel) of Texas, Patricia Dow (Eric) of Lumberton, and Tracy Portillo (John) of Elizabethtown, three brothers, Harvey Dewitt Callahan Jr. of Whiteville, Virgil James Callahan (Sheryl) of Dublin, and Arthur Charles Callahan of South Carolina, one sister, Virgie Callahan Benton (Jerry) of Chadbourn, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, and her beloved fur baby, Roxie.
Pat was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her fur baby and her grandchildren spoiling them. They always knew she would have candy to share with them. Pat had a cheerful disposition and never met a stranger. She was a hardworking lady who loved her coworkers like family. When not working, she enjoyed working in her yard, traveling to the beach as well as other places with her beloved family and friends. Her short time here was filled with much love and laughter and will forever be cherished by all those she leaves behind.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 6-8 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home with the Reverend Charlie Tatum officiating. Burial will follow the services in the McKee Cemetery in Clarkton.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Patricia and Eric Dow at 5736 Tar Heel Rd., Lumberton, NC 28358.
