Patricia Patsy Hitchell, 91, of Greensburg, passed away at 8:15 a.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023, at her residence. She was born on October 23, 1931, in Denver, Colorado. Her father was Ernest Mario, and her mother was Lucille (Bokelman) Robinson. She was raised and had lived most of her life in Decatur County. Patsy graduated from Greensburg High School in 1949. She was a teacher's assistant at North Decatur Elementary School for 11 years. She was a member of the Waynesburg Christian Church, Hi Neighbor Home Economics Club and Greensburg Senior Center. Patsy enjoyed baking, cooking, singing, and playing cards. Survivors include her daughters, Sherry Elliott of Greensburg, Sandra Pettit of Elizabethtown, Rita Coffman of Greensburg, Jackie (Jeff) Robbins of Westport, Marsha Bennett of Greensburg, Beverly (Randall) Stone of Rushville; her sons, Terry (Sandy) Hitchell of Westport and Kevin Hitchell of Anderson; her sisters, Cynthia Kessens of Batesville and Robin Roell of New Point; her brother, John Mark Robinson of New Castle; 32 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and her beloved dog, Macy. She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Calvin Hitchell; son, Brian Hitchell and a brother, Kelly Robinson. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Rev. David Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, October 20 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Alzheimer's Association or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.bassgasper.com
