Jon Michael Hitchell

Jon Michael Hitchell, age 54, of Charlotte, NC, passed away peacefully at home. The family is hosting a celebration of life that will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Wolfe Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Born in Brownstown, Indiana, he was the son of the late Frank Eugene Hitchell and Mona Marie Cooper Hitchell. Jon was a graduate of Booker High School class of 1990 and worked as an auditor at AmComp for 23 years. He enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, eating a good meal, going travelling and laughing with friends. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. Jon will be missed dearly. Surviving are his children, Caitlin Hitchell, Emylia Hitchell; mother, Mona Marie Cooper Hitchell, sister, Gina Hitchell and his uncle Bob Cooper (Nancy).
