Nancy Enquist Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cargain Funeral Homes Inc. - Carmel on Jan. 22, 2026.
Nancy Lee Enquist passed away peacefully at home on January 19, 2026, surrounded by her husband and daughters. Born on February 25, 1947, in Stamford, CT, to the late Elliot and Ethel (Mead) Peck, Nancy's life was defined by a singular, lifelong romance that began almost at birth.
Nancy's journey was inseparable from that of her husband, Kenneth "Ken" Enquist. Having grown up as neighbors, their bond was forged in childhood and grew into a marriage of 58 years. Ken was not just her husband; he was her constant companion, her best friend, and the absolute center of her world.
A graduate of John Jay High School, Nancy was a woman of specific tastes and a quiet domestic life. She found comfort in the simple routines of her home, the companionship of her beloved pets, and her favorite pastimes including playing bingo, shopping, and indulging in her favorite finds on QVC.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Ken; sister Mindy Ramey and husband Doug of Danbury, CT; daughters Lisa Gentile of Fort Mill, SC, Tracy Goble and her husband Howie of Las Vegas, NV, and Heather Sechko and her husband Steve of Southborough, MA; grandchildren Marie, Nikki, Zachary, Dale, Presley, Hayley, Aaron, Ryan, Blake; and many beautiful great-grandchildren. Nancy was predeceased by her granddaughter Kamden Goble and son-in-law John Gentile.
The family extends their gratitude to the Northwell Health Hospice team for their care and support.
A private cremation will take place, followed by a celebration of Nancy's life on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Pawling Fire Department, 25 South Street, Pawling, NY. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be rescheduled to Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
