Apostle Warfield Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pippin Funeral Home - Camden Wyoming on Jan. 2, 2026.
Kim Elizabeth Warfield was born on November 4th, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Charles and Helen Warfield. She was the 9th of 11 children. She attended public school in the New York City School System and graduated from John Jay High School in 1977. She attended Harvard Divinity School, where she studied Christian Counseling and Christian Education. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the College of New Rochelle, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Pathway Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Faithway Bible College and Seminary.

After graduating from John Jay High School, Kim became a court stenographer. She then joined the New York Police Department, where she served as a detective for 15 years. She was called into ministry in 1998, first being licensed as a minister, then three years later, she became a pastor. After she retired from the NYPD, achieving the rank of detective second-grade, she began overseeing ministries. Chief Apostle Kim relocated to Dover, Delaware, where she later became the first African American Deputy Sheriff in Dover. She then began working in the ministry full-time. She was also mentoring women into what they are suited for in her CWRIM Mentoring Program. In an effort to reach as many people as possible, she founded Cultivating Wholeness and Restoration International Ministries, Inc. in 2009.

Chief Apostle Kim was a certified nutrition specialist and personal trainer, and through her ministry, trained and guided others in healthy eating habits. In addition to the many awards for appreciation, she received for her police work over the years, she has also been recognized for her ministry work. She was notably bestowed with the Mayor's Award from the Mayor of Dover and an Award of Appreciation from the Worship Church of God Ministries, Inc. Throughout the years, Chief Apostle Kim has attributed her success to her parents, who raised their children to be kind and helpful.

Civically, she volunteered her time with the Dover Federal Credit Union Board, where she served on the Supervisory Committee, as well as the Frederick Douglass Foundation. She also maintained her affiliation with the Delaware Board of Elections, after running for state senator, as well as the Parks and Recreation Committee, the Human Relations Committee, the Salary and Benefits Compensation Committee, and several other committees and organizations.

Kim enjoyed her Saturday afternoon outings with her family. She had a lot of love for her family as well as her church family, and most of all her Lord and Savior, who was the head of her life. Kim fought a long illness and on December 20, 2025 went to her eternal home and received her angel wings on her journey to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen Warfield, brothers Lance and Daryl Warfield, sister Michele Allen, and niece Dana Allen.

Chief Apostle Kim leaves to cherish fond memories, 7 siblings and their spouses: Rod Giddens (wife Maureen), Tamara Hicks (husband Allen), Charlene Sinclair (husband Reginald), Ardys Reynolds, Keith Warfield (wife Nicole), Kerry Warfield (wife Freda) and Tracey Warfield Moore, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including best friend, Wanda: Spiritual Mother, Elder Lillie Mae Harris, and special friends, Apostle Dr. David McIntosh, Overseer Dr. Lethonia McIntosh and Overseer Dr. Tina Andrews. Kim (aka Titi) shared a special relationship with many of her nieces and nephews, including a very special relationship with niece Tawana, who she affectionately called Wanna Danna.

A funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Worship Christian Center, 107 South Street, Camden, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Thursday.
